Are you interested in handicrafts and their role in society and economy? Have you ever heard about Lefkaritiko, Phitiotiko and the river design? Do you want to know more about Cypriot handicrafts and textiles in particular and of ways of integrating this subject into your teaching plan? Do you want to give a try at traditional Cypriot embroidery stitches and at the same time discuss women’s role and economic contribution in traditional society?
Then welcome to “Stitches and Threads”, a teachers training course which will take place in Cyprus in March 2012 for the 4th time.
